Punjabi and Sikh Welfare Society is a registered entity; it is very actively involved in the development of underprivileged people. This society is totally devoted to help the low socio-economic strata and the cross section of the society, Women, Children and People with Disabilities, and other vulnerable sections of the Society. It is well managed by people who share the same vision, same mission and same passion, who try and fill the essential gaps in the life of a needy or deprived person.

Punjabi and Sikh Welfare Society do wish to reach out to more people and do a great deal further than our current programmes and improve our systems. To upgrade our strategy for reaching out to more deserving and needy people we need more funds from charitable organizations and help of the volunteers.

This year also the Punjabi and Sikh Welfare Society is celebrating the pious occasion of Baisakhi on 12th of April 2008 at
Dushera ground, Janakpuri, New Delhi 110058.

The function will be attended by approximately 3000 people, to spread the message of peace & communal harmony. On this day the society will organize traditional folk dance, bhangra and other cultural programs, followed by dinner. But the most important objective of the welfare society will be to bestow financial and moral support to the widows and handicap people by distributing following items:

  • Handicap tricycles equipped with P.C.O Machines.
  • Sewing machines.

Punjabi and Sikh Welfare Society is a registered entity, actively involved in the up-liftmen of deprived people. It is dedicated to offer social aid and health related services to the low socio-economic strata of society. It is well managed by like minded people, who try and fill the essential gaps or voids in the life of a needy or deprived person.

Set up in the year 2006, this Punjabi and Sikh Welfare Society is responsible and actively involved in carrying out the social obligation for the welfare of cross section of the society, Women, Children and People with Disabilities, and other vulnerable sections of the Society. Apart from imparting education, the society gives out the message to maintain communal harmony among the different religions/castes of our society.

We aim at empowering the cross section of the society, Women, Children and People with Disabilities, and other vulnerable sections of the Society by adopting a holistic approach in dealing with issues and problems. At the same time ensuring that they are given opportunities to develop well rounded personalities. The organization envisions a society which is sensitive and progressive. We are committed to sustainable development and human rights. For our vision to take its true form we require, that we should strongly believe in humanity and we should treat all people equal, without any discrimination. We should start thinking of these people, not as objects of sympathy, but as citizens with the same rights that we consider our due. We should realize that the choices we make everyday must seek to focus on the root cause of their troubles not just their superficial manifestations.
